"The Beast" is a series of mowers made by DEK, a company in the USA. They also go by GXI Outdoor Power and Stanley Tools. I bought the 100TB (for 100" tow behind) one from Home Depot through their website. The warranty is through the manufacturer. As you will hopefully be able to see in video, my grass has about 1 inch of growth that could be cut. Some areas have about two inches of excess growth. I have the machine set to the 3rd highest setting to cut the grass at 3.5". In this video you will be able to see that I tow it with an ATV. The ATV speed varies from stopped to a brisk walking pace. The mower just came back from a local shop where I took it because the engine was stalling when I got into grass that nees about 2 – 3 inches cut off. I then adjusted the governor spring so that the engine would run faster but then, with about 10 hours on the machine, the main drive belt broke. I called for warranty replacement of not only the belt but the hour timer too since it had stopped working at 4.4 hours. Since I had them on the phone, I told them that I am forced to mow at around 1 – 3 mph or the thing stalls and the service person said that they test the machines at 8-9 mph and that there must be something wrong with my machine. They suggested a local shop for me and I took it there. The local shop: Dick's Small Engine Repair in New Cumberland, PA had it a week and told me that there is nothing wrong with it and that the manufacturer would not cover their charge for the hour they spent cleaning the carb, gas tank and fuel lines and testing it. So I paid them $68 to mow their grass with my gas. They said that they mowed a field with it and had no problem. I trailered it to my house and after trying to mow about 800 feet of grass, I decided to make this video to show you how this machine performs when trying to trim an inch or so off the grass.
